Fall in love every day!

Fall in love every day!

Yes, there is a way to fall in love every day, every morning. And it’s pretty easy. All you have to do is recognize something and then return it.

Here’s the thing to recognize: The Lord God is unceasingly in love with you.

As the Bible says,

“The Lord’s loving-kindnesses indeed never cease, For his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness.”
Lamentations 3:22-23

And all you have to do is return the love. If this sounds like a relationship to you — that is indeed exactly what it is! God is very much in the relationship business.

This passage was written by a man, (most probably the prophet Jeremiah) whose life had fallen apart. He was in grief not only for himself, but also for the suffering of his entire community.  But in the midst of his anguish he calls to mind God’s message that His love and compassion is never failing and never ending…and therefore he finds tremendous hope.

Like all people, your life will have struggles. There will be challenges – even heartbreak. And it is all too easy to remember the suffering, the pains and the sorrows. In his own struggles, the passage’s author said, “Joy has gone from our hearts; our dancing has turned to mourning.” Lamentations 5:15 But each morning gives you an opportunity. As you wake up, you can chose to accept God’s love and compassion.

Peace can be with you – just take the first step. That’s what the author this passage did when he said:

“You came near when I called You, and You said, ’Do not fear.’ ” – Lamentations 3:57

We can be called upon to face terrible things like war, destruction and disease. But as you read the Bible, you’ll see that God’s faithfulness has been proven time, and time, and time again.

“Though He brings grief, He will show compassion, so great is His unfailing love” – Lamentations 3:29,32

God’s love is there, never failing, and new every morning!
